Today is an extra special feel-good Friday as it’s the last one of the year and the lead into New Year’s Eve celebrations. As there’s so much going on at Noble Nordic, particularly at the packing station where I love to help with all your orders, I haven’t yet made any plans, so it will be more last minute and let’s see what happens!
But before we welcome in the new, I’ve been reflecting on the past and what has been such a crazy year for me. None of it would have been possible without you! So I also wanted to take this opportunity to say thank you for all your support, you've been there for me through two of the most life-changing experiences I’ve ever had – Strictly Come Dancing and the launch of my own beauty brand.
I was so surprised to be invited to take part on Strictly, I can remember being both super excited and a little apprehensive all at once. It’s a show I’ve always followed and loved but never something I would have ever considered for myself.While I’ve done a little singing, I’ve never danced in any way, so it was totally new for me. I was quite nervous before I started, but as soon as I was introduced to my dance partner Freddie I could feel the nerves melt away! It was a gruelling schedule to practise every week but so much fun, and I had this great feeling of conquering something I had never done before and wasn't very good at from the get-go. I came so much further than I could have dreamed of – and that’s thanks to all of you for voting to keep me in!
I came away feeling so positive about myself, that I had really pushed outside my comfort zone. While it was hard work, I even broke my toe during practise one week, I gained so much. Since then, Freddie has become one of my greatest friends, and I am also in close contact with everyone I met on the show, we became like a family.
At the same time as Strictly, I was also secretly working on my own project – you now know it was Noble Nordic! While I had being doing this over the previous two years, the last half of 2017 was extremely hectic as I was always meeting with the my design team about the final touches to products, attending photo shoots and generally making sure everything was ready for launch.
It is now a full month since the launch party, and it has been amazing to share not only the products with you but my passion for brushes, and a little of my life philosophy. From what you've let me know so far, you are enjoying my beauty world and being part of our Noble Nordic family.
All that’s left for me to say this week is a massive Happy New Year to you all and I can’t wait to see you in 2018!
